The furry fandom is a community of people that celebrate anthropomorphic animals. This is done in many different outlets and mediums. One of the biggest ones is conventions.
The people of Wikifur can't come to a consensus about what a convention is, so a friend and I decided to make a site to list every active furry convention and their current attendance numbers for their latest convention, since Wikifur continues to list online events and in-person events as two separate tables on two different pages. We kept hearing excuses from them like how you have to have an overnight stay in order to be a convention or how you have to travel. It got a bit tiresome arguing with people we don't know on the Internet. This site should update as cons announce their numbers.
At the end of the day, we wanted an easy chart to see how conventions have grown. Every event, art piece, 3d model, illustration, convention, etc. should be celebrated. The people that make these mediums only add to the fandom. The dedicated people who put together online events shouldn't be segregated to a poorly made corner of a wiki page. These are hard-working individuals who try to bring together the fandom and make it better.
Thank you to all individuals who help the fandom grow by creating amazing experiences.
